No bake Reese’s Peanut Butter Bars

These were so easy (5 ingredients and no baking) and are amazing!  This recipe makes a whole 9×13 pan full which is A LOT  because they are so rich so next time I will half the recipe.

…yes, they are as delicious as they look

Here is the link to the recipe I used:

Ok, now go make them.

Friends and Family,

Sorry I haven’t posted in awhile, we have been busy.  Nick started a new job which was and is a huge answer to prayer–We are so thankful to God our provider! Nick is also finishing up a Teaching English to speakers of other languages course at NC State.

I have been working on decorating our bedroom, and trying to perfect my cinnamon roll recipe (Nick is happy about all the ‘sampling’ he gets to do) 🙂

And we got to celebrate my sister’s 20th birthday this past weekend with my family!

The fam (minus mom who is taking the picture) and Alex’s boyfriend Chase

me and my daddy… 🙂

Such a sweet picture of God’s love!

Excited to read this book…

No bake energy bites

A friend of mine told me about this recipe and how much her and her husband love these awhile ago and I decided to try them last night… yumm.

They really are much better than they look. 🙂

Recipe here:

Cheddar Jalapeno Burgers :)

This is one of our favorite dinners.  It’s delicious and it doesn’t take much time to make!

1 lb. lean ground beef (I use 93%)

1/8 c. panko bread crumbs

1 egg

1 jalapeno (sliced into small pieces- leave the seeds)

1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or as much as you want)

Salt and pepper

*You can add red pepper flakes if you want it to be really spicy! 🙂
Combine all your ingredients.  Be careful/ use gloves when handling the jalapeno (don’t burn yourself!) Divide meat mixture into 4 parts and form patties.  Grill or cook on stove top until juices run brown.

We ate it last night with guacamole and it was AMAZING.  I like this guacamole recipe but add some diced tomatoes to it.

Kitchen update

Happy to have it decorated.. now we just need to decide on a paint color and paint! 🙂

Pleading with our Father

Super encouraging sermon on prayer from Luke 11:1-13:

Just thought I would share! 🙂

8 months of marriage!

As of yesterday, Nick and I have been married for 8 months, that is.. 8 months of God’s grace in growing our love for Him and each other and sustaining and strengthening our marriage in Christ! All praise, honor and glory be to Him alone!

The theme of our marriage for these past eight months has been that of a line from an old hymn,

“Grace, grace, God’s grace, grace that is greater than all our sin.”

God has used marriage to reveal the sometimes overwhelming amount of sin in our hearts (that has always been there) but with it He reveals  more of the magnificent person of Christ and HIS SUFFICIENCY! 🙂

We praise God for the gift He has given us in His Son Jesus Christ,

“For our sake He (God) made Him (Christ) to be sin who knew no sin, so that in Him (Christ) we might become the righteousness of God.” – 2 Corinthians 5:21

“For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.  For one will scarcely die for a righteous person- though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die- but God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.  Since, therefore, we have now been justified (counted righteous) by His blood, much more shall we be saved by Him from the wrath of God. ” – Romans 5: 6-9

“For we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, led astray, slaves to various passions and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy, hated by others and hating one another.  But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, He saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to His own mercy.” -Titus 3: 3-5
