Earlier today I read about a friend’s meal planning experiment for the next 4 weeks.  She is going to aim to spend only 35$ a week on groceries for her family!  She will be posting every week about what groceries were bought, how much was spent and what meals will look like for the week.  She also included some great money saving tips.  You can read her Week 1 post here:

I think having a number lower than your actual budget is great motivation- something to shoot for…  I’m going to try this the next couple of weeks when I’m planning meals!

Also, this is a great website for the budget savvy meal planner:

She has great recipes, tips for saving and cost breakdown for each meal.   Anyone else have a good resource/ website for meal planning on a budget that they would like to share?
