I was hesitant to try another ‘dessert in a mug’ recipe because the first one I tried (cinnamon roll cake) was not very good.   This recipe is amazing because it really does taste like the real thing and it should- it uses smaller portions of the ingredients found in a standard chocolate chip cookie recipe.  The only difference I noticed between the cookie in a mug and the real thing was that the texture was a little more cake-like but I think that I may have just overcooked it by a few seconds in the microwave.

Chocolate Chip Cookie in a Cup:

1.) Melt 1 Tbs. of butter in a microwave safe mug.  Add 1 Tbs. white sugar and 1 Tbs. brown sugar, a few drops of vanilla extract and a pinch of salt and stir.

2.) Add one egg yolk and stir to combine.  Add a little less than 1/4 cup of flour and stir to combine.  Add 1/8 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips (or as many as you want) and stir.

3.) Cook in microwave for 35-50 seconds until it looks like a cookie!  Stop at 35 seconds to check for ‘doneness’.
